Your eyes are like a deep blue sea,
I know somewhere there hides your secret key.
Your thick black hair flows on your shoulders
like a wild river crossing its borders.
Your figure — courageous, graceful, bright,
your thoughts and nature calm and light.
You walk with elegance, soft as a swan,
I cannot look away, even if I want.
Your slender ankles in high heels shine,
all eyes turn to you when you walk beside mine.
Your skin is pale like a shining pearl —
you are a mind-changing girl.
You draw attention just like a magnet,
wherever we go, you are the target.
I stay beside my beautiful friend,
all of my time to her I must lend.
I set a new hour on my life’s clock,
my past and my friends I locked in a box.
Someone may ask:
“Is this the life you want, this is the road you wish to drive?
to guard her, protect her, keep your feelings alive?”
And I will answer:
“I’ve just turned twenty.
I have no experience —
but my heart and my hands are not empty.”
